N.E.W. Business Coming to Jonesboro

N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. (NEW), the leading provider of extended service plans and buyer protection programs for consumer products, is pleased to announce the expansion of their contact center operations into the Jonesboro, Ark. community. The home-based jobs will be dedicated to delivering technical troubleshooting to DIRECTV customers creating approximately 120 work-at-home customer care representative jobs over the next year.  DIRECTV is the nation’s leading satellite TV service with more than 17 million customers.

After considerable research and evaluation of communities across the United States, the Virginia-based company selected Jonesboro as a best fit for the company because of the warm reception, infrastructure and the strong workforce the city offered. “NEW’s selection of Jonesboro is a testament of our exceptional workforce.  We are pleased they have selected our community and look forward to a successful partnership,” said president and CEO of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce Mark Young.

The announcement of NEW's work-at-home program expansion into Arkansas is the result of partnerships between the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jonesboro Unlimited, Arkansas State University Delta Center for Economic Development, Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Jonesboro Economic Development Corporation, and Arkansas Department of Workforce.

“NEW's continued growth and success has made it necessary to expand the company's contact center operations,” said NEW’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, Ray Zukowski.

“Our extensive research indicated that Jonesboro is a good fit for our company due to the well-educated work force and the residents' desire to work in the customer care field. We are ecstatic to be a part of Jonesboro and offer this unique work environment to the community.”

NEW announced earlier this month about plans to open a brick and mortar contact center in Russellville, Ark. bringing 250 jobs to the Russellville community. In tandem with the Jonesboro work-at-home expansion, the company will bring close to 400 jobs for the state of Arkansas over the next year. “NEW continues to invest in Arkansas,” said Maria Haley, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “We appreciate the company choosing to locate these new jobs in Arkansas and look forward to NEW’s continued growth in our state.”

Interested job candidates can meet with NEW representatives at a hiring event on July 8th at 9 am and 2 pm and July 9th at 9 am and 6 pm at the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, 1709 E. Nettleton Ave. Virtual job fairs are also available on the website at www.newhomebasedccr.com.

Interviews begin immediately and the first six-week, company-paid training program begins in August 25th at the ASU Delta Training Center. For more information about career opportunities as a Customer Care Representative with NEW, or to apply for a job online, visit www.newhomebasedccr.com.
