West End Neighborhood Association Spring Clean-up
The West End Neighborhood Association has organized a Spring Clean-up for The West End Neighborhood.
The boundaries are: West Nettleton Ave., South Main Street, Burke Ave., and South Gee Street.
The Spring Clean-up will be on Saturday, March 13, 2010 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Residents of The West End may bring items to the Huntington Building parking at lot 900 West Monroe Ave. This event is to promote beautification, pride and safety in our neighborhood. The West End Neighborhood Association ,the Mayor’s Office, the Jonesboro Department of Sanitation, ASU Sigma Pi Fraternity, TRG-Jonesboro and the City of Jonesboro Justice Network have worked together to coordinate this clean-up day.
The following items can be brought to 900 West Monroe: Clothes, furniture such as chairs, couches, beds, mattresses, tables, televisions, computers, printer, etc., appliances such as dryers, washers, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners (freon must be drained), microwaves, water heaters, garden hoses, etc., bagged household trash, and dry, empty paint cans.
The city will be picking up brush, limbs, and leaves in March/April. Please pile these items at your curb for pick up.
Do not bring the following items: Haz-Mat materials such as oil, fluid, batteries, or if a product is flammable, corrosive, etc., tires of any kind, auto parts such as motors, transmission, power transmission, etc., remodeling material such as boards, concrete, dirt, carpet, sheet rock metal, or landscape material, etc. No freon .
Tell your neighbors about this first time event for our neighborhood and help to clean up “The West End”!! Hope to see you on March 13.
