Phil Jamison from the KFIN morning show and other delegates from Jonesboro traveled to Ft. McCoy, WI
to visit with soldiers from the 1037th Route Clearance Company about to
depart to Afghanistan.
About
200 soldiers who make up the 1037th unit of the 875th Arkansas National
Guard have been training in Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin for their mission to
begin soon.
A group of
local dignataries and media members from the Jonesboro area flew to Ft. McCoy on
Monday, January 25 to visit with the men and women, wish them God speed
and good luck on their mission. Phil Jamison from the KFIN Morning show represents East Arkansas Broadcasters along with
Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin and Craighead County Judge Dale Haas
representative L.M. Duncan. Carl Mason of the VFW also attended, along
with Brandi Hodges from KAIT and Saundra Sovick of the Jonesboro Sun
and other media.
