Runoff early voting begins here in Jonesboro on Tuesday for the November 25th election. Voters will elect either Harold Perrin or Alec Farmer to replace Mayor Doug Formon, who is not seeking re-election.

Here’s a look at your regional weather…

Expect partly sunny conditions today, with a high near 55.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Tuesday: Sunny, a high near 48.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 56 and a low around 38.

In Sunday sports action, all 12 players scored as Arkansas State’s cruised past Northern Arizona 71-40 in women’s basketball action at the Convocation Center. The Red Wolves used a balanced scoring attack to improve 2-0 on the season.

Several former Northeast Arkansas stars also enjoyed a successful Sunday for their respective teams…..

In NFL action, Wynne native DeAngelo Williams rushed for 2 touchdowns and 120 yards as the Carolina Panthers defeated the Detroit Lions 31-22 Sunday in Charlotte. DeAngelo only carried the ball 14 times and averaged almost 9 yards a carry as the Panthers improve to 8 and 2 on the season.


Former Jonesboro High standout Rachel Allison scored 25 points to lead 19th ranked Baylor past No. 2 Stanford 81-65 in women’s college basketball action in Waco, Texas.

Nettleton’s Matt Mouzy had 16 points to help Arkansas-Little Rock slip past Pepperdine 66-65. Teammate John Fowler of Blytheville added 13 points for UALR. Mouzy is a sophomore walk-on for the 2-0 Trojans while Fowler is a senior.

And don't forget, tonight Coach John Brady and the ASU Red Wolves host Lyon College with a 7:05 tip-off from the Convocation Center. You can listen to the Voice of the Red Wolves Matt Stoltz and the game live on 95.9 The Wolf.

Tonight is the home-opener for the Red Wolves, who are looking to bounce back after opening the season with a loss at Ole Miss.
